Brass Hinged Book

Joan Hawks, a sweet friend, calligrapher and bookmaker was teaching a class on making this 5x5 brass hinged book. I had never really learned any book construction before going to her class last year. Thread is used to tie around the brass rods which leaves, in this case 12 dangling pieces which Joan taught us to bead. Some of the beads were handmade with paper. I
finally finished it!

I love this quote. I'm
such a romantic!

And finally, here's the back of my little book. The end!
