Floating Journal

This topic was a tricky one. The closest I could come to the sensation of floating was my experience with hypnosis. Many years ago after a year long program, I became a certified clinical hypnotherapist. It was really interesting. Hypnosis is the tool and the underlying work as a therapist is really psychology. It was a great experience with a lot of personal growth and the opportunity to meet many fascinating people. Anyway, I was enticed back into calligraphy with an abundance of work and a love of the art.

  1. That is such a cool illustration! I love the words floating around her head. And how interesting that you were trained as a hypnotherapist! I bet you met lots of fascinating people on that journey... :) Silke

  5. Hi Lisa. Thank you very much.

Wonderful illustration and if it was me the floating objects, I would like them to be coffee and cake.

Fascinating occupation but you could not share it with us. I am glad you became a calligrapher. Thecomputerized fonts are no match for the nbeauty created by your hands. Calligraphy is truly a fine art. I think when the monks and friars started those illustrated books of hours and manuscripts is sealed the distiction and the separation of humans from all other animals.

  6. Thanks for all your feedback. Ces, I don't know about calligraphy being one of the distinctions between humans and animals...I've got a rabbit whose brush lettering is really coming along nicely : )

  7. I am so glad I could click on it to make it bigger. The mix of your lovely painting and the words is wonderful. I have experienced hypnotherapy a few times and loved it. I wandered off into life with a feeling of the divine after each session. Really lovely.
